Old arc welding machines.

Hello, here are some pics taken of a couple of very old arc welders recently "unearthed" at a friends place. Any idea of the years they were made ? The smaller one works just fine but we have yet to rig the three phase one up. The larger one goes up to 600 amps although 100% duty cycle is about 400 from memory.

I used to use a larger version of the smaller quasi arc you have there...it was a good machine

I have the exact same Quasi-Arc (ACP 200).....it`s a smashing dual OCV machine; welds 3.2`s all day and doesn`t even seem to get warm.

Donkey`s years old; but from the days when they made them with the intention of them lasting!.....Mine will out-live me, I`m sure.

Ive got a 300 amp Quasi , lovely machine , I use it for all arc work in the shop !

old uns are always the best, built to last.
had a little oxford and floged it for nowt, wish id have kept it now!

Anyone know what sort of age that Quasi arc would be?
