You use the deviders with a graduated scale on the line of chords rule to set angles.

Here's a few pics of one.

First pic is the rule itself,

Second pic: using the angle scale on the top of the rule to set your deviders to the correct distance for your angle, in this instance 40 degrees

Third pic: there is a punch mark on each leg of the rule

Fourth pic: set your deviders in these punch marks and you get the angle you wanted.

Fifth pic: on the back of the rule is a circumference rule, you measure across the diameter and the rule reads the circumference

Whatever build slowly or you will be bust within a year.
A realy good bench will always be the best investment - the biggest you can
One should already have built up a fair collection of clamps and measuring tools. Just build slowly as cash flow allows
Fabrication is very like farming you see the most money go out when you set up and the most come in when you shut down lol

That makes sense Kent I've got stuff like paying my bills and stuff is way more important then blowing all my money in one go just once a month buy a good tool I've got a rigid pipe bench and a old super heavy old massive drill stand I will use for my main work when I set him level

Got a little red book for recording things I see what might be useful later on um I had a chalk line that went walking a while a go a plumb line I seen used but never used personally I cut one wedge today out of some 35mm plate probably cut another tomorrow. I'd imagine that a plumb line is just used to find the centre of something down and straight

Use with a blue jumbo marker for laying out blue that won't leak and is easier to use.

It doesn't, other than it has a wide nib. Essentially, colour in where you want to mark, then when you use a scribe the lines show up better. You can also use engineers blue, but if you get it on your hands I wouldn't go fiddling with yourself, otherwise your other half will think they're away with a smurf
