Do any of you guys know if you can clean an oil seperator filter? I have a large hpc 51 compressor which is begining to be a cow to start and the oil seperator light comes on but i would rather clean the filter if possible than fork out near £500 quid for a replacement!

Not exactly the safest stuff to use, but it does the job well. I tend to use citrus based solvents for cleaning gunge from most things, these days. The types of stuff they class/brand as label remover, brake pad cleaner etc. Has a lot nicer smell to boot.
I'm just working through a stock of the stuff I've picked up over the years for free, at the moment, so that will make the time when I have to actually buy some less painful.
