I have acquired an old boc murex ld185 oil cooled welder. The data label on the top of the machine is worn out. Does anyone have any pictures of one of these so I can figure out how to work it
not that model but like most on here have used em for years....right now have a 225amp Oxford and a 480amp Miller...both oil cooled.....
they never give any probs....unless they have been tipped over and lost the oil or the norm, people run em with loose terms....burning them out/away.....
your terms look good so place it on a board for the first plug in an try it.....
u'll need to test for earth leakage etc but I'll bet it'll be ok....They made em proper.....
a lot of times in industry the welders say it's fxxxx/ruined but they just want the next model up-grade.....
good luck....let us know how u get on....
It'll be an AC welder, you can see the terminals are labelled (just) if you look, an amp clamp would provide info on output amps if you require but stick a rod on and burn is the best way.
