Why on earth don't they standardise sizes? I thought about getting a nice sink in a fancy worktop, but the sizes are not standard so a bung in from above sink is the answer. It's a real irritation.
In return that does my head in. Contact insurance and your renewal price goes up. Had a car crash into my house last night and I'm not admitting that to insurance.
So you got granite worktops? Will the replacement sit on top and hide any mess you might make with stone cutting discs?
Doh!.At least it’s bigger.
Ah. Its laminate.Fourtunately tops are wood. Pretty straight forward to enlarge the aperture with a straight edge and router
Shouldn’t the driver of the car and his/her insurance deal with damage. Hope it wasn’t too bad
Part way through cooking the stove top threw a wobbly
Top left section has melted and cracks all over
This model isn’t made anymore. The replacement is 30mm bigger

Photos not good as there are too many reflections
Ah. Its laminate.
Even easier.
Dont **** around with a router.
Masking tape to draw on and a sharp downcutter on a jigsaw. Less mess.
Normally chop out from below with tracksaw/skillsaw and trim the corners from above with jiggy.
Yep, but this happened with a regular light weight stainless steel panDo you use cast iron pots?
Have you got a router with bushings for a worktop jig?Ok, currently the cut out sits just inside the side frame. New one will require the wide of the side frames to accommodate. No way to cut out from below.
The cut will be directly above the side frame so nowhere for the blade to go, hence my idea of the router
Have you got a router with bushings for a worktop jig?
If so make a jig up 9mm bigger every side from 12mm mdf/ply.
Free handing into the corners is hairy.
What do they class as professional.requires “professional” installation for the warranty to work.
Or borrow a track saw. Even quicker than the router
Put masking tape / gaffa tape to the top edge. Helps prevent the laminate flicking.
Let me know what price you end up looking at on the Neff stuff, I may be able to help.
I am one of the 140 people out of their UK dealership they took to Bretten this February( Very interesting factory tour if you happen to be a nerd )
