Part way through cooking the stove top threw a wobbly

Top left section has melted and cracks all over

This model isn’t made anymore. The replacement is 30mm bigger

Photos not good as there are too many reflections

Why on earth don't they standardise sizes? I thought about getting a nice sink in a fancy worktop, but the sizes are not standard so a bung in from above sink is the answer. It's a real irritation.

I know, it does my head in too. Quick blast on the internet suggests that I may have to contact the insurance in Monday

Dont **** around with a router.
Masking tape to draw on and a sharp downcutter on a jigsaw. Less mess.
Dont forget 15mm each side to keep central.
Normally chop out from below with tracksaw/skillsaw and trim the corners from above with jiggy.

Swapping sinks and hobs are a pain

Even easier.
Dont **** around with a router.
Masking tape to draw on and a sharp downcutter on a jigsaw. Less mess.

Normally chop out from below with tracksaw/skillsaw and trim the corners from above with jiggy.

Ok, currently the cut out sits just inside the side frame. New one will require the wide of the side frames to accommodate. No way to cut out from below.

The cut will be directly above the side frame so nowhere for the blade to go, hence my idea of the router

Yep, but this happened with a regular light weight stainless steel pan

If so make a jig up 9mm bigger every side from 12mm mdf/ply.

Free handing into the corners is hairy.

Yep, somewhere I have.

I’m going to contact insurance on Monday as Neff is 10 to 20 days delivery and requires “professional” installation for the warranty to work.
