Should have codes for O2 and Lambda sensors if failing. 0's or 1's
My 2002 Veccy had a dodgy O2 which worked fine when warm as it was just the heater that packed up.
Check for leaks from manifold to after cat Lambda that will throw an EML.
In reality it could be O2 and Lambda feeding info to ECU in turn trying to rectify the problem.
Heard time and time again of reputable parts replaced three times before a good one found, check Courtney and others.
Thanks for the replies ,I'm reasonably happy with the lambda results as I know Snooper is running the same software .....idle is rock steady ,just checking its normal on the opcom program to see it ...
The old sensor is still functioning better than the new replacement so I'll see what happens tomorrow and if the EML comes on again with error codes pointing to cam sensor I'll get a genuine sensor to be sure....also i'm in contact with a mates lad who does diagnostics so I have some local support now if required......
