OBD2 interface

Hi all,
I've been using a topdon topscan tool for bidirectional scanning and fault finding. Annual subscription time, and for $50 you can have another year, or for £50 you can have a brand new unit with a years subscription. The topscan interface is a bit poor anyway, so I'm not bothered going with something else. With a budget of, say, £300 what would the best choice be for buggering about with several manufacturers?

Most of the cheap ones are much the same IME: spurious connections and not much in the way of features.

I splashed out on an OBDLink LX - about £100 new, but I bought 2nd hand for c.£45, and I've been very happy with it.

I use it with a variety of android apps: "torque", "car scanner" and "real dash" depending on what I want to do.
