depends on if u want if u want local heat fast and do brazing as well in small use get a rent free oxy bottle and propane. otherwise its just propane it takes ages to heat and u cant localise itOut of interest, as I am considering oxy-propane for the workshop for heating bending and possibly brazing, where do people get their oxygen cylinders from? Add one to the boc account or rent free from hobyweld or some other type place?
I'll probably just end up using propane and torch if it's just for bending stuff to be honest, but it's good to know what other options are available.
No because although Propane is hotter* it doesn't provide the necessary shielding for the weld that Acetylene does.
*I think I am correct that the core temperature is higher with Propane but that could be complete @#$#@.
