Nylon fuel line to rubber hose

I’m re doing the line on one of my old opels.
Using nylon. But for the life of me I can’t recall what I’ve used in the past to connect the plastic hardline to the rubber hoses of fuel rails and tank etc.
I’m sure I had to use a special tool to insert into the nylon line.

Any experts appreciate your help as I don’t like the copper line solution (have gone brittle on this car from previous owner)

With an olive would this be suitable? Would it need an insert at 3bar potential pressure

Injected or carb? Reliant just have the nylon pushed in to the hose and spring ear clamps securing it. I have the same arrangement for my injection system and it is perfectly secure.

I've done that for several injected engines too. I've also reused factory EFI fittings by clamping the nylon pipe in vice, warming it with a heat gun and pushing the fitting into the tube.
You can now cheaply buy new fittings for many factory joins, so cutting them off old pipes to reuse them is less necessary. I've also seen the tool for fitting them without the use of heat, and that is high on my list of wants.

Citroen DS also just pushes the nylon into the rubber tube. When I replaced the pipes, I inserted a brass ferrule into the nylon hose to prevent crushing. Then a spring ear clamp.

None pressurised, I heat the end of the nylon hose so it mushrooms slightly then push it in.

It is injected so at pressure but only from the high pressure pump at rear to fuel rails the return isn’t pressurized

I like the Idea of a brass sleeve to prevent crushing.

Think I’m going a combo of the above suggestions

you can bodge it with a clamp ect and a cheap brake flaring kit to hold the pipe i used a chalking gun.

Gates make a nice kit for tube barbs, normally for truck brakes but it works on fuel pipe.

Yeah, Caterham did that on the return line. Several inches overlap.

Going to work one wet morning, I nearly lost it at 30mph corner that usually wasn't a problem. Combined with a sudden wiff of petrol, I pulled over.

Return line dumping fuel on the road - nice rainbow trail up the road back the way I'd come.

The enots compression fitting on the end of the nylon ton hosetail into the rubber has been there trouble free for 23 yrs of its 24 yr life.
