nuts

I've rounded a nut on the radius arm of my old Merc while trying to replace the rear springs.

I'm going to try the stilson on it tomorrow, but I don't think I can get it on as its recessed.

So are these any good?

I'm going to replace the nut and bolt is this something I have to source from MB dealer or is there somewhere else I can get it from over the counter, would it be hardened or a standard bolt?

Them's the jobbies.

There the mut's nuts in removingg nuts. They will cut into the old nut and it will need to be replaced, but then you wouldn't want to put a rounded/seized nut back on anyhoo.

The nut's going to be a standard size. Mosy bolts are high tensile steels anyway.

If you have a local supplier take the old one there to get a replacement.

We have an old school ironmongers in perth that are fantastic at this.

They wont be a lot from Merc's but try Euro car parts or GSF, and those are great nut removers & you should be able to get them from any good motor factors
