...so the Mig that I bought from my friend had been used by some of the lads working for him, but clearly nobody had told them that sometimes you need to change the tips and nozzles....

Silly thing is, that it's about £7 worth of bits, and they hadn't even thought about doing it... hey ho, no wonder they were getting crap results with it.
