nozzle cap melt

hi all,

i`m a newbee here. i hope you guys can help me to solve this prob.
i just buy a new lincoln electric power MIG 350MP last year and used it for 6 month.

i always check machine condition and replace tool if wear and tear.

last time weld, wire filler become stuck and weld is not smooth.
contact tip hole diameter become large and picture attached is a result for nozzle cap.

what happen with my machine actually?

please help me to solve this.

It looks like your gas shroud filled with spatter and became live so it melted.

Welcome Vigour87. As Pedrobedro has said splatter buildup. Try getting some anti splatter paste. In uk it's about £5 to £10 and well worth it. It's like a hard wax that you dip you gun tip and shroud into when it's hot and forms a coating to reduce/stop splatter sticking. A tub should last ages. May also be known as "tip dip"

thanks with your feedback, i had search in internet and found `binzel dusofix anti-spatter paste`.
is that a right one?

Vigour87 That sounds like the stuff. When you start welding and the nozzel gets hot then dip your tip. The coating then should last quite some time.
