Last jobs on the car before our 3 week road trip round Europe. Top up the windscreen washer fluid. WTF!

It doesn't get much use, and this stuff has been in here for 3 years now.

I emptied it out and gave it a power wash but there was still gunk in there. I couldn't get my hand in with a cloth, so...........

you can still overflow that overflow on the sink if you have good water pressure on your mans inlet and still flood the floor

Check the pumps / nozzles as well, as they get blocked up with the gunk.

With my meat paws, I find the best thing with those is some small gravel, drop it in with some water and washing powder and have at it maraca style.
Amazing how much grot you can get out. Works for header tanks too.

I'm trying to think if I've ever noticed kitchen sinks in the US where I've lived didn't . . .

Home Depot won't let me look from the UK - Lowes are less worried . . and crikey - they don't.

How did I not notice?

you can still overflow that overflow on the sink if you have good water pressure on your mans inlet and still flood the floor .

Perhaps try taking the dishes out first , there is far less splash back apparently .

I love this forum - it goes from removing debris in the bottom of a screen wash bottle to sink overflows, ikea supplied items and switched outlet sockets.....
I am waiting for the comments about the plants in the pots, seemingly dying or dead, through lack of water on the windowsill ??
And those 13 amp outlet sockets to the right of the sink surely do not meet code right?? Isn't there an arms length code here or something??

Tut tut you missed the pound world US 2 pin plug adapter in the right 13 amp plug. These are CE approved right?

In the UK, minimum 300m from edge of the bowl.

In the US - slap bang behind the sink/tap, especially for the waste disposal switch. Not read of any electrocutions yet though . . .

My other half walks around turning them off . . . I simply leave them on as the house I grew up in didn't have switched ones. The number of times I plug long extension leads in, see the switch is on, get back to the working end of the lead and no power . . . walk back - the switch to the other socket was on, not the one I plugged in to.

I have asked her a few times if she's worried the sparks will fall out and drain away if they are left on . . .
