After talking to numerous painters, reading forums for hours, watching youtube videos etc, every painter uses different processes, orders, products, etc...
Likely they have figured out with experience what works well for them. I don't have experience.
I'm thinking of just using the Novol system from start to finish: https://novol.com/nfcc/en/technologiaYT.php (click the dots to move along the process)
Note on stage 3, the 3 types of filler (Blue light, Elastic and Aluminium). It recommends the aluminium filler for areas like roof and bonnet. Has anyone got experience with aluminium filler? Not sure I really need it since it's a 2.5L straight six that doesn't get especially hot but maybe it wouldn't hurt.
Anyone used any Novol products? Or even the entire system? Let me know what you thought.
I'm inclined to with their entire system. It's so hard to formulate a plan on what products to use, etc, when you've never painted a car. Having it all laid out is nice and convenient but I ought to check here that it's suitible. Obviously, the real challenge will come with the sanding and finishing. But it'd be great to have a good starting point with a thorough plan of what products to use. Thoughts also welcome on general product choices regardless of being specifically related to Novol.
