Nice to note the World's strongest padlock is British. It took a great many rounds of up to .338 - then they switched to .50 BMG and it took a further 20 rounds to burst it open!
I thought that but this is how all these Yanks do their tests. They say it doesn't make a huge difference due to the velocity of the round but I disagree. A lorry hitting a stationary car at 50mph probably wouldn't be fatal - the car would be shunted out of the way. Put the car up against a solid concrete barrier and the results would be totally different.Put it against an immovable object and I suspect the result will be very different.
