Notching box section

I am looking for a tool to be able to cut a small v notch in the end of some 25mm x 2 mm box section to make the vent holes for galvanising. Hope to have a lot to do so angle grinder or drilling holes will be to slow I was wondering if anything is available as internet search just brings up tube notchers..

why does it have to be v shaped ??just use a cutting disk in an angle grinder if the shape[ is not important it dont get any faster using anything else

You might get away with a corner notcher tool setup in a Flypress.

Check it will be ok with the galv firm first, some want precise hole side drilling and might not except anything but, I heard of someone who got charged to open all his up a small amount to make their spec

0.8mm cutting disc in the angle grinder will take just seconds for each cut, That would be my preferred method, can't really see any thing to hand that would be faster or easier.

Some notchers will allow a small v-notch in box..... but unless its a huge amount, will a simple drilled hole not do?

Calf pens. I have made one batch and got someone who wants some more just wondered if there was an easy way to do it. Doesn't need to be a v but that seems to be what a lot of livestock equipment seems to have.

is it a V because its been notched to fit around round tube?.

If I had hundreds to do, I'd be looking at a flypress tool as mentioned above.
Saying that, if I was going to drill hundreds of round holes, I'd still be looking at a flypress tool. [1]

No it hasn't got to fit around tube. I like the idea of using a flypress I will have a look at the tools available. Thanks for the info.

If it's so they can dip them then the galv firms usually require at least a 6mm hole drilled so the wire can hang it.
We do hundreds of the bloody things. I just bang an 8mm drill bit through. Once you get into your stride it's quick.
