Day trip to Formnext in Frankfurt.
500KG, 500hr (yep, 21 days) print. Sorry, forgot what metal this is.
(In case you’re curious, it’s not a real part, some theoretical design more to do with showing off the capabilities of the printer.)

To put it in perspective, there are staircases around the perimeter of some of the printers they didn’t bring to the exhibition…

A lot of robotic welding going on, some building up parts from scratch like below, others being worn parts scanned / built up / re-machined in one hit
