Now I quite like the idea of that, I have seriously thought of building one using a row crop tractor wheel, guarded of course. It has to be the quickest way of splitting logs.

I see the appeal as it's as cheap as chips, but sooner or later it's going to bite somone, all that stored energy isn't going to stop on command.Now I quite like the idea of that, I have seriously thought of building one using a row crop tractor wheel, guarded of course. It's simplicity is fantastic - no hydraulic hoses, pumps or cylinders
Due to the momentum it'll work on a very small power source
