Ingenious but terrifying at the same time.
No chain brake.
No lubrication.
If the chain snapped there is nothing to stop the chain flying back at the operator.
Needs must I suppose!
**** that, utter madness. Been said, no chain brake , no guards to protect you if the chain comes off. Not for me, seen to many close calls with people using proper chainsaws to even consider that.
I don't know what to think about this ..On one level it's a bit of lateral thinking ... but it looks terrifying ... I thing the young guy holding the wood is very brave or very drunk.... jeff...
Beggars belief and Hospitals are full of idiots like this one, expecting surgeons to work miracles and stitch and fix him up. FOC. It might have helped if a bit PPE was evident, but given the risk assment PPE wouldnt help him a lot.
Nothing like what it would be running at in a saw I can assure you, it is well within it's limits. Saws can be doing something like 11,000 rpm in the cut, way faster than a grinder.
