Haha, wire edm is your friend. Get the angle correct on the wire and you end up with the correct clearance for your target sheet thickness.

Do you plan open tooling or die-set tooling?

If you cut with the correct taper on the wire, then the piece you cut out will be a tight fit in the die (for very thin foil material) and will then also give you clearance for the blanks to drop through into your catch tray. I'm normally doing drop stamping brass so around 1mm 60/40 or 70/30
