and last year i was spoiled hunting from a tower stand, 4 walls a roof, heater. this year i thought i'd do something different. i use a 5x8 ft. utility trailer to haul my 4 wheeler to the woods and got the idea about a month ago. instead of a tree stand i decided to buy some angle iron online. i calculated to need right at 80 feet. i should've been practicing my welding from 35 years ago. i'm self taught and with none of the modern welders and i'm no machinest. i did work 15 years in a sawmill and learned some millwriting skills. working there it was taught if you break it...you fixit. it was a little slow to start but thought i'll add an upstairs to my utility and hunt from it. so...my plan is to complete this addition in time to use bowhunting to start. the roof i'll use treated decking as expanded metal is too much money, the wood should also make a quieter floor. for concealment and protection from the elements i'll use a ground blind on the top and folding chair inside and propane heater! the pics for some reason look a bit off. i did end up cutting one loose and redoing it but according to the level it's not perfect but i doubt they are else where. i got two pieces added to the other side and hae the top piece the length and one more, then braces and cross pieces
