Might be worth speaking to Norbar - I found them to be quite helpful. I had an issue with my clear handles going cloudy (decades out of warranty), apparently a known issue - they couldn't do much about it but did offer a discount on their new version - I didn't bother as I can live with it.
They do say you can use them to undo, providing you don't exceed maximum torque, and obviously they can be used in reverse although not necessarily calibrated for it. I'd always use a breaker bar out of choice though.
