Hi
Couple of questions that may help my dreadful beads get better...
1. If a rod is rated say 55 - 100 amps would a beginner get better results at the lower setting? I noticed after playing around with the settings that it was easier for me to control the laying of the bead if the amps were set to the lower rating for the rod. I'm sure there's a down side to it but as a beginner it felt easier.
2. I've noticed that any successful beads/fillet welds are I think laid when I have the rod (flux part) touching or very very very near touching the work piece. Should I be that close?
My two best bits from the first go attached. V proud of the fillet!!! :-)
Many thanks for any advice and encouragement
Adri
