my first & only helicopter flight was being rescued off the Brecon Beacons after crash landing my paraglider, it was a sea king ,came from chive nor, north Devon, could see it coming for 10 -20 minutes before it arrived, the mountain rescue ,who were luckily there patrolling a sponsored walk, let off a flare, of which I still have the remains, stones were whipped up from the ground as he hovered then I got winched up into the m/c-what an experience, took my mind off the pain, he even offered a sling to hoist my dog up swell, but my partner hung onto him.
