No wire feed

I'm new to mig welding and bought a silverline gasless welder very cheap because the feeder does not work. I've looked at the trigger and it all looks OK, there continuity back to the PCB, I've re-soldered the componants on the PCB to ensure there are no dry joints (more my area), still no luck with feeding.
Is there something obvious I am doing wrong here, surely when switched on and the trigger pressed the motor should try to feed the wire?

have you checked the motor actually works? if it does then you could maybe try using a multi meter and get down the circuit to find wer the problem is

The easy way to check the motor is put 12 Volts (car battery) across it.

I have no idea how the Silverline welders work. Nobody on here will as they are generally considered throw away items even when they do work. But we can guess.

First thing to try would be the connectivity of the switches (or switch) that control the power setting.

Next (after you've checked the above), can you measure a voltage between the torch tip and earth clamp when you squeeze the trigger? If not do you hear a relay triggering when you press the trigger? If there's no click then power to the relay (which might come through the setting switch) could be the issue.

There is no click when you press the trigger. I will test the motor to see if that is the issue, maybe there is a logic that tells it to not work when the wire feed is not active.
