Used the fork lift twice this morning,1 hour later, won’t start or turn over, not even a click, gas powered, new starter in April,,fuses good, all connections secure,13.44v on the battery ,what else can I check,I have a basic meter.TIA.
gas valve frozen? We used to have that happen sometimes when it got really cold and the truck was parked overnight in a draught or outside. EDIT: just read you started it then it's stopped later. Have you left it in gear? Sounds daft, but warn linkages will do that. We had an old Hyster, that the drivers had to throw it in and out of forwards and reverse numerous times before it would start.
Check back to see the ignition switch has 12v, you should be able to bypass all the rubbings and crank it over with a jump lead to prove the starter, but they usually click
Nearly did on a vibrating roller with a wet seat on Saturday, climbed on to move 1mtr to get something else in, would not start.
Got off just going to open it up and the comment was sit in the puddle it will work then, sad git that I am
Thanks for all your help,I’ve been on site doing long hours then a funeral, then in bed two days aching and stiff.
Woke up in the early hours remembering the forward/reverse lock outall solved.
