Yeah it is much harder to master and your settings have to be right and even then your still gonna get the odd burn but that's also the point, if it's 20mm thick material and the weld you do happens to be in the overhead position you can't just weld it in dip transfer else it wouldn't be a sound weld at all. It's the material thickness, joint type and welding position that should determine which size wire and which arcing phase to use.
