There's a new law going through parliament soon which will ban the delivery of "bladed articles" to residential addresses.

This draft new law will make it impossible for self-employed tradesmen to have bladed tools delivered to their residence, hobbyists to acquire specialist tools that OTC retailers could not justify stocking and furthermore it contravenes the human rights of the house bound and the infirm unable to travel to bricks and mortar shops.
I appeal to you not just to sign this petition but to also write to your MP to ask that they support the removal of section 15.

The bill is a bit vague about that. It defines a "bladed product" as an article which has:

(a)is or has a blade, and

(b)is capable of causing a serious injury to a person which involves cutting
that person’s skin.

There were these Japanese knives that finally got delivered six months late, last week. Plus lathe tools, drills, circular saw blades, jigsaw blades, milling cutters, carbide tips, etc. etc. etc.

This doesn't just cover blades it also covers corrosives so if you do anything like acid etching etc. You will have trouble getting supplies. I have no idea where I can get acids or carving tools locally, could turn out to be a right pain
