No invoice

Hi

I had a garage door fitter in October. I contacted them staight away once It was fitted it needed fixed it was damaged.

I waited a few weeks contacted them to see when they where coming to do it.

Oh I have asked about payment as well.

It was no problem they did it once they had ordered it . I wasn't bothered as I hadnt paid for it.

Know what should I do contact them? or keep the money aside and wait for them?

Don't pay until you get an invoice, but I'd put the money to one side anyway because once it's installed satisfactorily you'll have to pay.

It is in fine fitting now. I am just concerned they change the price as I dont have anything in writing .

But Its not my fault they haven't invoiced me

Depending on the damage it may cost more than the job owes to repair, just bank it and wait, the law states a "reasonable length of time" but gives no definition.
Personally if you are happy with it sit tight when and if they come for payment ask for the repair.

You could always write to them and say "I have a cheque here for £xxx, please submit your invoice and I'll pay by return".

Its the white lines. Might seem silly but I am pain £600.

£600! you got that cheap I paid just over £700 for mine.
but mine is motorised.

You’ll never get rid of those. Its the runners that are wearing the plasticoat off.

He's talking about the white lines along the slat. The mark you are talking about is a pop rivet.

No I meant the line along the fold. It will wear as the it’s rolled up. My wife wanted me to fit a coated roller door to the garage. I refused as I knew that would happen. I fitted a galv one and she still wanted it paiting despite what I said.

Hi

Yes I ment the plastic coating. The wall all needs plastered and rendered outside to protect from the weather that before it was put in but I ran out of time.

It' also visible as a new lintel was put in also there was a bit of building attached to the side.

Will get it tidied up. It' on the list.
