"don't think i could adjust my sleep pattern quick enough"
that's the problem for me. Don't mind nights at all, I just need them to be long enough to get into the rhythm of a decent sleep. We used to do two weeks, 12 hours, full trip on nights, no problem, but I doubt I could handle these short shift patterns of 3 or 4 days then change again..
