OH wanted to say thank you to a colleague and knows he loves barnacle geese (he already has one of her designs on his favourite mug) so asked me to cut out a goose for her.
I only had some alloy sheet from an old sign and it was godawful to cut, needed 32 amps on the dial and loads of slag. I gouged the details in with the plasma on about 20 amps. Loads of dressing with a grinder and a nice gash in my finger from a lack of concentration with the flap disk and here's the result:
It's going to be painted as that's what my wife wants and it's her design so next will be some zinc primer and then a coat of acrylics. That's her job though
