Hi all, would class myself as a newby, although I have done a bit of arc welding in the past with an old buzz box.
Will be retiring in two years time so am looking at taking on a project, probably classic mini, therefore looking at learning a bit of mig welding before hand.
I have been looking around at what kit to get, and will probably settle on a Lincoln Bester 190c.
However I’m a little confused with regulators, having spent a while reading up on the forums it seems multistage are better than single, and to avoid cheep no names off the bay. Unfortunately budget won’t stretch to a high end 2 stage so my question would be is it better to have a cheaper two stage such as weldgas, weldability type or a better quality single stage like an esab 3 with a flow meter? Any help appreciated.
