Hi guys, I found this forum when surfing the tinternet in search of welder info.
I'm a car enthusiast, and will be helping my dad to restore a s2 mk2 cortina 1600E, which needs a fair bit of welding (dont you just love fords). I have no welding experience at all, even though I worked at a steel framed building company for 3 years, but my dad knows a few tricks so wil be teaching me. We're going to go halves in a welder and my first project (once I've learned not to blow holes in things) will be to make up some adjustable subframes for a pair of bucket seats to go in my car (as I refuse to pay the extortionate price for the shop baught items..yep I'm a tight git!)
I have no doubt I'll be asking a million and one questions, and I will deffinately be taking a look at the welding tutorials on tips on this site.
Small world too as I know boombang on here from one of the car clubs I was a member of.
Anyway, essay over!
Martin
