Hi: Greetings from San Juan, Puerto Rico (USA). I am a senior citizen (retiree) still looking for things to learn. Luckily, I came across your site and I LIKE IT!
I got a 27 year old IDEAL 120N Mig welder that I used only once and I think I burned the liner. I need to get that checked. I came across some electrical schematics for the welder in your forum. How fortunate. I look forward to digesting all the tutorials and start welding myself to your site.

Hi Gavuk. I want to fix the front compact on a KIA Amanti 2004 and also repair the railings in my balcony. But I need to work on the machine. Humidity and lack of use have gotten to it. I need to do a lot of reading, too.
If you don't mind, is Gavuk a nickname you use in this site or is it your real name? Antonio is my real name and we speak Spanish here. Thanks for your welcome message.

What is the meaning of bodger?
Makes sense to use Gavuk. I read your bio and you do a lot of things. I am an automotive technician, mostly doing supervisory work in shops and offices related to that industry (Police Fleet Manager, Naval Station Fleet Management and Repair, Criminal Investigator, US Army Logistician, US Army officer, and now I am retired from the Army and the Civil Service). But I have always liked working with my hands.
I wish I had involved myself much more with handyman chores. I like mixing cement, doing electronic repairs, etc. But I am running out of time and nowadays one has so many things interfering with what one wants to do...
I don't have too much time to sit at a computer, but I am amazed at the possibility of making so many friends worldwide. And this has happened in the last 20 years or less. Even though computers and the Internet can be used for doing harm, it is refreshing to know that it could also be the means to get the people of the world together in peace. Kids are playing computer games with kids in other nations! You and I are communicating across thousands of miles in minutes. I notice that you communicate a lot in this forum. You have a

I work in factory machine maintenance ,we often find ourselves without the required spares and have to make do and are expected to do just about anything Turning ,welding ,snow clearing ,drain unblocking plumbing all sorts

Hi, Gav: Don't know how to place a waving Smiley here, but I am waving. It is 9:02 AM here in San Juan.

Right now I am an inexperienced bodger in the welding field, but an experienced one in the management field.. We are both creative.
I like to do creative things to solve problems/situations in the business and maintenance management fields. It keeps the brain busy.

It is election day here. I have to go vote for Governor. Can't vote for the President since we are not a State. So, I'll talk to you later on. I'll get my camera ready.
