Hello,
Im extremely new to welding, and im looking at building my own bicycle frames, but i want to do it as light as possible - which points me to aluminium. So ive been doing research over the last few weeks about what kind of welder to use and turns out i need to TIG weld for the best results.
Now being a complete novice i just kind of want some pointers on what to avoid in terms of buying a machine to get me started, im based in the UK and i would like to know what ideally is the best amps to go for (im on a buget of £200) and i need to run it from a household socket. i know its not alot to spend on a welder but i dont know how well i will do etc.
So another thing is gas bottle sizes, i see everyone saying 125cf is good because it saves money in the long run, but everywhere i look its all in litres and thats completely threw me off.
I appreciate any advice that is thrown my way.
Thanks
