hey everyone, my first post and yup it's a problem!
Got myself a thermal arc 202 ac/dc, tried it the other day and had a power issue, it kept cutting out like it was over heating, set it up again tonight just to test it out quick, copied rough settings from my friends and tried a piece of ally and it was ok, didn't adjust settings or play with it as I didn't have time but it was arcing up fine and didn't seem to have any problems. Switched over to try some steel again as that's what was cutting out the other day and tried to establish an arc and it just wouldn't have anything then it cut of and the fan kept on, let it cool and tried again and the same thing happened. Really can't make sense of this??? The lights were flashing on and off and it wouldn't start up again, I then lost patience and gave up.
Anybody had this problem? Could it be a fault with the welder? It's brand new so I wouldn't of thought so.
