I'm guessing this has been covered a hundred times, but I seem to be going in circles trying to find what I need!
I've read through the gas suppliers thread on here, and have now emailed a few nearby BOC suppliers, but I'm still a tad confused about bottle hire...
I'm used to dealing with Calor Gas; I've worked for a couple of companies that supply them. So I understand how their system works...
You pay the inital 'deposit' plus the refill fee, and have a bottle for as long as you want it, when it's empty you take it to any Calor gas supplier, and just pay the refill fee. Nice and simple, but welding gas seems a bit more tricky!
I'm after some gas to enable me to do some repair work on a couple of cars, mainly on the sills/floorpans. From what I've read through on here and on other sites, I need the Argon/CO2 mix for thinner metal.
Really I don't want to pay a rental fee, as I don't think I will get much use from it anyway, but I don't want to use the little hobby canisters (as I've been told they don't last long).
What is my best option, is there a bottle supplier that works on the same system as Calor?
