Parm, i was about to create a post asking if there was anyone near Aylesbury that would be willing to show me how to weld, or at least let me run a couple of beads ( i watched a vid and they called them beads.......is this correct?)

yes I'm near to Aylesbury, but I'm not going to mislead you in thinking that I can teach you to weld by any stretch of the imagination. All I can show you is how not to do it

There will be more appropriately skilled folk that can give you some lessons / demo's etc

What sort of welding are you interested in learning, presumably if you're interested in building a kit car, it's going to be mig?

Yep im afraid Aylesbury has a ghetto. It depends where you go i suppose. Its nothing like as bad as Tottenham though

regarding what sort of welding....... probably Mig. Ive seen a few gasless mig welders for sale so might try that as my garage is away from the house in a block of pre fabbed garages.
