We ought a couple of large King Dick ratchet podger spanners year before last. Had to return them because of the crappy quality. Bought Laser ones instead which were much better.

I got given a James whitham king dick tool set one year for Christmas. Basic thing really but the bits that were in it like the spanner’s seemed like nice things. It had one of those one for six screwdrivers in it, I used it quite a lot for a while, and as above I found it was equally good at all screw head types, unfortunately I found that a Frankfurter was equally capable and tasted much better…

Okay okay I’m being harsh but if I was to buy another screwdriver I’d get another Vessel jis one they are really good, even their grey impact ones seem to work!

Thats a shame. I used to buy lots of KD ratchet podgers for our guys, they were great. Haven't bought any in 2 years now though.

SKG made the screwdriver for KD. I have the VDE version and I find it fine for electrical stuff which is generally not that tight, and its handy to carry just that and a flat to cover lots of those odd jobs - for anything serious the impact usually come out.

A Lot of the KD stuff other than sockets was already being outsourced, but now they are owned by the same outfit that owns silverline who knows what will happen..

Not convinced.

Bet it chews screw heads, right size tool, for right size job, is better.

I would say that Vessel are probably the best screwdrivers out there, I prefer them to Snap On / Wera.

I used to work at a Yamaha dealership in the late 90’s, we bought Vessel JIS screwdrivers and guarded them with our lives, they used to cost £30plus back then from a specialist importer, before anyone else had heard of either JIS or Vessel!
