New-wrench for 5” angle grinder-FREE

I requested a new lock nut wrench for my 9” grinder from Makita after one pin bent on the original. The machine is less that 3 weeks old, and they kindly sent me a replacement FOC. They got the part numbers mixed up and the one that arrived is for a 5” grinder. The part number on the wrench that arrived is 782423-1. (They don’t want this one returning, and are going to send the correct one). If anyone wants this one-brand new in packet it is available free.

I have a few pin spanners kicking about and they fit my 5" and 9" grinder same hole spacing.

The spanner they sent me may have the same hole spacing as a spanner for the 9", but on the 9" the shaft of the spanner is considerably longer, the steel is considerably thicker and the pins are smaller diameter. I can`t say for brands other than Makita though.

rarely use one in the workshop, on site is a different thing, and grab the first one to hand, inserting the end pin in a hole with the other pushed again the side usually works for me
