I already have a M8 threaded rod and some wheels on standby. Its just that someone mentioned a trolley is better. i think i will go for the wheels and rod option thenIt has a fixed torch and yes the trolley I mentioned may be too high for car work, the torch is not the longest on the market.
Perhaps a simple angle frame with castors on would be better or a couple of cheap ebay wheels and a bit of round bar for an axle instead of paying for the proper set up.
I just gave one of these away, check on the bay, one went for 8 quid, got me going years back until I built a custom trolley, used it for all sorts of stuff.

A euro connection allows you to untwist and remove the torch where as a fixed torch is as it is fixed. The reason I asked was if its a euro connection you can put your welder out of the way and run a longer torch to the job so you wouldn't need to remove it from the trolley for car work.
