When I went to college and did a very basic mig welding course, I seem to remeber the gas being set up in such a way that you could hear it flowing quite clearly.
I finally took delivery of a Clarke 150TE yesterday and am itching to have a play. Only thing is, the small bottle and reg that it came with. In the instructions it says to set to about 2-3 on the regulator. If I do this I can not hear the gas at all. If I turn it up full I can hear it clearly, like we had it at college.
What is the correct flow rate for C02?
As soon as I pick up my pub bottle, we should be good to go but I just want to play....am busy looking around for some scraps of something just to lay down some welds!!!
