hi everyone , im new to the forum and have a few questions
i am new to welding and dont have much experience of joining metals apart from silver soldering and some brazing.
i am wanting to purchase a mig welder to learn mig welding and have decided on a Parweld xtm 171c with a rent less gas bottle from adams gas.
i am starting college and should be learning mig as part of my course but still want a welder at home, obviously i will be using industrial equipment at college but will not have the luxury of that at home, so i would like your advice on the ' Parweld xtm 171c mig welder'. i have spoken to a local welder and he has explained to me what to look for and he told me to buy the most powerful one i can afford.
has anyone ever used or seen this welder in person, it looks like a good deal and is in a professional package e.g. euro torch refillable gas bottle shelf on the back and it takes 15kg spools.
the welder looks very good quality with its triple smoothing capacitor bank, but i would like peoples thoughts on this machine, as i suspect it is probably from china.
