Just bought a sureweld monomig 100 off of ebay. One thing I notice about it is if you put the earth lead on a bit of metal and then touch the welder to the metal- the welder welds without you having to press the trigger.
Is this normal or a fault with the welder? the welder is ancient, but my Cosmos 145 welder allows me to touch the metal and only welds when I press the trigger.
I'm new to welding so any advice is welcome.
