Hello,

We now have a new video on the website, its a bit of a promo vid, but there alse some high speed images of the Pulsed arc and our new SpeedPulse so you can see the difference or see what a Pulse arc looks like for those who don't know. Also it shows the verticle up (Xmas tree) method for mig.

Yeah Terry, its good video isn't it.

Yeah, SpeedArc is on our P Series, SpeedPulse is on our S Series and SpeedUp is available on both.

The S and P are both 3-Phase industrial units.

The "speed up" looks handy...is there a lot of fancy electrickery going on there to achieve it, or is it just an "on/off" sort of thing.

Its software.

The software is controlling the mix of arcing phases. Its not turning the power on/off as could be done by pulsing the trigger. Its actually switching from between two diff arc types.

Do you have a machine in the range that combines all three?
The 'speed up' looks impressive. New technology, or have you had it around for a while?

I like the idea of increased speed, increased pen and a mostly spatter free finish. Seemed to be a bit of spatter flying around in the vid. Take it this is small stuff that brushes/bounces off?

Nice vid matt and nice machine, The only thing that strikes me is that all this machine will do is put us "that can" out of work and give more of the work the the zombies

Yeah Paul, the Saprom can do all 3 processes. If you had the top of the range model it would do....

It was that machine which I wanted to bring up for you to try.

SpeedArc and SpeedPulse is about 6 months old, SpeedUp was launched in September.

You can acheive virtually spatter free welds on Pulse and SpeedPulse, there was a bit of spatter showing on the video but that was mainly down the awkward angles the welder had to get in so the video could be taken. We did think about videoing the processes on a robot but we felt it was more important to show that it is also a manual process and not just for automation.

Unfortunately its the way of the world, regarding having to make machines smarter and in some cases de-skilling the job. This is only due to the fact not many people are learning the trade

All the examples on the video are on Steel. They all work on CrNi and Alu too. There are some photos in one of my albums for SpeedPulse and TwinPulse on CrNi.

Matt can you please explain the arc types?....spray ?short circuit or something diffferent?......many thanks Gav

I'm guessing that Saprom machines without these capability's can just have there software updated?? Great vid, it almost makes me want to ditch my Fronius.

These processes are only available on our new generation Saproms. Completely redesigned high definition power sources and micro processor etc. You need super fast arc reaction times to make it work.

SpeedUp on the S is a mixture of SpeedPulse and conventional mig and is approx 100% faster than the conventional xmas tree weave.

SpeedUp on the P is a mix of SpeedArc and conventional mig and is approx 50% faster.

very clever stuff i like that speed up, but i dont think i could convince the powers that be that i need one in my home workshop, maybe one day, just have to stick to the xmas tree and dream of thinks to come,maybe the life insurance

Yes Sparkes, we have not long taken on a Italian guy who speaks perfect French so we are looking to expand into France.
