Lol, nope! Today, if I have it in me, I'm fixing the 1-series.. exhaust flexi welding again (2 years after last time), and swapping engine mounts and roll bar bushes (bar has to come out since they're bonded :-/)Fitted them yet?
Getting some modern tyres to actually seal enough to seat the bead can be a challenge, even with a cheater. I you think the tyres have been stacked so the gap between the beads is reduced inflating an old inner tube inside the bare tyre overnight often helpsLol, nope! I might do the tyres some time in the next week. Some have been really easy to do (mum's Golf, missus' x4, new all-seasons on the 1-series), others have been a nightmare. I think the worst was an old and cold budget tyre on a spare 1-series wheel that I was shifting onto the car temporarily for the MOT. It was so stiff. I can't remember which bit was the worst, but I think after breaking the bead it just kept popping itself back in place, and then when re-fitting it, again it just had zero flex and would not stay down in the well/centre, popping off the clamps etc. I have been looking for tyre warmers or an electric blanket or something to wrap around them to see if that helps. I might just get the IR heater out though and warm the garage for a bit.
So, I have been putting off doing these big ones on the M6, thinking they could be tough to do, and also because I care a bit more about making a mess of the rims while I'm at it.
I have encountered this as well.Getting some modern tyres to actually seal enough to seat the bead can be a challenge, even with a cheater. I you think the tyres have been stacked so the gap between the beads is reduced inflating an old inner tube inside the bare tyre overnight often helps
It does look like there's the remains of some tyre mounting soap on the bead area, so it could very well have been mounted and removed, but the kink is just the bead wires, it won't be an issue with any other part of the construction.yeah, there aren't but I don't think there's supposed to be.

I would get onto mounting this tire in question first thing.Lol, nope! Today, if I have it in me, I'm fixing the 1-series.. exhaust flexi welding again (2 years after last time), and swapping engine mounts and roll bar bushes (bar has to come out since they're bonded :-/)
