Well, I've been on the look out for a lathe for some time, as I have a few bits in mind that I'd like to have a go at creating in the future. Most of the tools I own are actually very basic and entry level, and mostly inherited - apart from the woodworking tools I picked up cheap.
I managed to bag a cheap, but in need of some TLC, lathe on the bay of E last night, for the pricey sum of £50. I do need to factor in collection, but as I'm returning a cylinder to Peter Gibbs' Rothwell outlet on the same day I've written it off.
I know very little about the lathe, although it looks to have been a treadle powered model in its past, but has been allowed to rust up a little over the years. Nothing a spit and polish won't sort out.
If anyone can identify the lathe, that would be great, but its not of massive importance at the moment. I just need to get it collected.
