new to welding need help and advice

im looking to buy a welder no idea what i need prob need a MIG ?.

I want to do car bodywork with it as i want to restore my mini so need to weld new pannels and plates in. Also i have no garage so all welding will have to be done outside.

any links to welders i should be looking at would be great also advice on ones i need. i heard clarke are good but am short on fundings so will have to be second hand i think.

help me out please cheers

Hi,

Any of the Clarke 100, 135, 150, 151, 160's will do it, maybe a Pro90 too.

If you're buying second hand then price in a torch repair kit including liner, shroud and tips. Contact Weldequip by sending a private message on here and he'll quote a good price to give you some idea. You may also want to find out the costs of a regulator and pipe to use large bottles as the disposables don't last long.

Then it's just a case of finding the right kit reasonably local to yourself.
