new to the forum, want to buy a mig welder

hi to everyone,only just found your forum, i've been playing with a little £50 stick set of ebay sip-cosmo, and borrowed a migmate 130 of a m8 of mine, but as usual he needs it back, so im looking at buying my first mig, not really gonna be used for anything massive maybe upto about 2-3mm tops, anything bigger i get the stick out, but it's got to be cheap as im working on a small budget i've looked at the common places machine mart (i used a lot of clarkes stuff with no probs) parkers (local to kent) screwfix and they only ones that are close to my budget asre these

sort of top end about £150.00 would like gas (never used gaseless) but i know there more expensive.

SPeak to weldequip on the forum here, he sells the small clarkes unit, and is normally better on price than MM, and service and back up will be 10x better than MM

Might be worth waiting a little longer adding another £50 to your budget then get a gas/gasless one

I believe your first two choices are gassless and thats and thats an end to it whereas the 105EN can be converted to gas by adding a regulator and appropriate gas and wire.

IF you can afford the clarke 160 then get that, lots on here have them and think highly of them. I think possibly Weledquip can do you a good deal delivered to the door, give him a pm and he will let you in on the details.
