New to MIG.... Opinions needed!

Hi guys I need your opinions of my welds!
I'm using a wolf/power king 140 co2 gas .8mm wire.

About to start welding a rusty Hillman imp.

I'd have said you were certainly heading in the right direction with those.
The width is a little inconsistent but you'll soon have that sorted with a bit more practice.
Get cracking!

would you say penetration was right ?
I don't have a flow meter so just guessing with gas. 20psi ish on regulator.

If anything I'd say you had a little too much penetration but you've not blown through which is good.

Yeh looks like you have enough penetration, a flow meter will help no end, there's a place in Dunfermline called leengate welding suplies, they should be able to sort you out with a flow meter for around £15 I use the leengate in Grangemouth

I ordered one yesterday from weld equip.

I don't know if it's just me but when moving from gassless to gas I've gone from a low power setting to higher one. Is this normal or just my dodgy set up.?

Yeh, you will be running hotter with flux core wire, so when going to gas you might need to go up a voltage step
